Brian Daley entered the world in 1947 in Englewood, New Jersey, and spent his childhood in Rockleigh with his older brother and younger sister. He graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in 1965, then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Vietnam—an experience that deeply shaped his worldview. Daley launched his writing career with The Doomfarers of Coramonde and made a major impact with The Han Solo Adventures, the first official Star Wars novel spinoffs.
