Jeffrey Archer, also known as Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston – super – Mare was born on April 15th, 1940, in Holloway in City of London Maternity Hospital, London, England. His family moved to Somerset two weeks after birth, settling in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. 

In the year 1951, Archer won a scholarship to Wellington School in Somerset. Archer left the school with O-levels in art, history, and English Literature. Before working as a physical education teacher, he spent a few years in various jobs. 

In 1963, Jeffrey Archer was offered a place at the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education to study for a Diploma for Education. Between 1967 to 1970, Archer began a career in politics and served Great London Council as a Conservative councillor.

1] Kane and Abel Books

Kane and Abel are a series consisting of three novels in the series and comes first in Jeffrey Archer Books in Order. The series starts with Shall We Tell the President? (1977), Kane and Abel (1979), and The Prodigal Daughter (1982).

It is the first novel in Jeffrey Archer’s Books in Order which was published and said to be inspired by Archer’s real-life experience when he went near bankruptcy. It is a mystery novel published on March 6th, 2008, by Macmillan. A Prisoner of Birth ranks fourth in Jeffrey Archer Books in Order. The book is a contemporary retelling story of Dumas’s 1844 novel, The Count of Monte Cristo.

The story is set back in 1966 when a disgraced British colonel Gerald Scott bequeaths a mysterious letter to his handiest son, Adam Scott. Adam’s father’s letter leads him to gather from a secure deposit container in Switzerland. There he finds valuable Russian Orthodox icons made lengthy in the past for the Russian tsars who, through misadventure, got here into the ownership of Hermann Goring someday during the 1930s.
